Moomin Hattifatt Thermometer – Indoor & Outdoor 25 cm

Is it time to start planting in the garden, enjoy a cup of coffee on the patio or perhaps reach for your winter coat? With this charming Moomin thermometer from Finnish brand Muurla, you can easily keep track of the temperature – with a little help from Moominvalley's most mysterious residents, the Hattifatteners! The thermometer is part of Muurla's collection of gardening and greenery accessories inspired by the Hattifatteners. Combining practical functionality with playful Moomin design, it makes a delightful addition to both indoor and outdoor spaces. But who exactly are the Hattifatteners? The Hattifatteners are among the most mysterious creatures in Tove Jansson's magical Moomin world. These small, white, ghost-like beings have long, slender bodies and wide, staring eyes. They often travel together in groups, endlessly wandering as though searching for something that nobody quite understands. According to the Moomin stories, Hattifatteners grow from tiny white seeds – but only if those seeds are planted on Midsummer's Eve! A wonderfully strange and magical detail that makes them especially fitting for a gardening-themed collection. Hattifatteners also have a fascinating connection to electricity and thunderstorms. As a storm approaches, they become electrically charged and can give off shocks. Drawn to the forces of nature, they are constantly on the move, often gazing towards the horizon. Despite their slightly spooky appearance, they are more mysterious than truly frightening. A practical thermometer for your home and garden Made from durable galvanized iron, this Moomin thermometer is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Hang it on your house wall, balcony, patio or greenhouse, or use it as a charming decorative detail inside your home. With a temperature range from –50 to +50 °C, it allows you to monitor the temperature throughout the seasons, from frosty winter mornings to warm summer afternoons. Measuring 25 cm in height, the thermometer features convenient mounting holes at both the top and bottom, making it easy to attach securely to a wall, fence or another suitable surface. A fun and practical gift for gardening enthusiasts, Moomin fans or anyone who appreciates playful and unusual home accessories. Perfect as a birthday present, housewarming gift or a thoughtful surprise for someone who loves spending time in the garden. Let the Hattifatteners find a home in your garden and help you keep track of the weather – after all, they already have a rather special connection to the forces of nature!
