The FLORYD porcelain collection includes straight, stackable coffee mugs, tea cups, coffee cups with saucers, side plates, bowls and teapots. You will also find porcelain storage jars in three different sizes – both decorative on the kitchen counter and practical for storage. The idea is to let you find your favourites and gradually build your own collection over time.

All our porcelain is made in Estonia at a small porcelain factory that I work closely with. The collection features patterns inspired by some of our most beloved Nordic berries: Blueberry, Lingonberry, Cloudberry, Gooseberry and Cherry. From the world of plants and flowers come Twinflower (Linnea), Forget-me-not and Oak Leaves. The patterns are designed to work beautifully together – set the table with one favourite design or mix colours and patterns to create a more personal look.

Retro Porcelain Inspired by Nature

The forest is the central source of inspiration in my designs, and my very first patterns were Lingonberry and Blueberry. But many of my ideas also come from childhood memories: my grandmother's garden, where we would sit and enjoy coffee in the leafy arbour, my mother's songs – such as Ute blåser sommarvind – and storytime with Elsa Beskow's wonderful books and illustrations. I also remember being fascinated by Sweden's many regional flowers.

This is the feeling I want to capture in FLORYD's designs: the forest, warmth, nostalgia and something familiar that brings back fond memories.

How Do I Create a Beautiful Table Setting?

A beautiful table setting doesn't have to be perfect or perfectly matched. In fact, it often feels more personal when new porcelain is mixed with vintage finds, different colours, shapes and natural materials. Here are a few simple tips for creating a table setting filled with warmth, personality and retro charm:

Choose one colour as your starting point. Pick a colour and let it reappear in your porcelain, napkins, candles or flowers. You can stay within the same colour palette using different shades, or add a contrasting colour to make the table feel more vibrant.

Mix different patterns. Everything doesn't have to come from the same collection. Try combining FLORYD's Blueberry, Lingonberry or Forget-me-not patterns with plain porcelain or vintage plates and bowls. A shared colour can beautifully tie different patterns together.

Mix new pieces with vintage finds. Old glasses, mismatched side plates, cutlery, linen napkins and small vintage vases add character and enhance the nostalgic feeling. They also make every table setting unique.
